Why we love it

The heart of Ski Arlberg: endless linked terrain, deep off-piste and a party scene that starts at the Mooserwirt before the lifts even close.

Getting there

Innsbruck Airport is the closest, about 100 km and just over an hour by road. Zurich is around 2.5 hours away and Munich about three. St. Anton has its own railway station on the Arlberg line, with direct trains from Zurich, Innsbruck and Vienna stopping a few minutes from the lifts.

Who it's for

St. Anton is a favourite with confident intermediates, experts and freeriders. The Valluga, the unpisted ski routes and the huge off-piste make it one of the most challenging resorts in the Alps. Beginners can learn at Nasserein and on the Gampen, but Lech and Zürs have gentler slopes for progressing.

Best time to go

January to March has the best snow, and the Arlberg is one of the snowiest regions in the Alps. Late March and April bring sunny spring skiing and the Run of Fame event. The lower runs back to the village can get slushy in spring afternoons.
